I am getting ready to restore the electronic parts of this radio. The cabinent is in fine condition consiering it is 67 years old. Slighty older then me. The radio works now but badly. Any advice would be appreiciated.

Replace electrolytic filter caps if they haven't been changed recently. They will cause hum and can short destroying other components.
