Radio Ultra Electric
10/19/2004 1:20:45 PMJose Antonio Gonzalez
Hello. My name is Jose Antonio.

I am finding a schematic of a radio Ultra electric. I do not know the model, but i have some pictures of this radio in this page:
http://maralboran.ath.cx/fsm/ultra/ultra.htm

The valves are:
MKT4
VSM4
SP4
and the rectifier i think it is the R2.

If you can help me, say me the model or if you know the model and the schematic, it is better.

If you need other information, write to me.

thanks for all.

Hi Jose

This may be a radio from Europe? Those tubes (valves) weren't used in the US. Try posting your question on the following site:

http://www.vintage-radio.net/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl

This is a UK site. They are familar will most European radios.

This site doesn't have a schematic, but it does have some interesting information about the company.

http://www.vintage-technology.info/Pages/Companies/UltraElectric.htm

I'd use caution when reading other parts of the site not associated with this brand name. I saw one particular statement that shocked me. It made a suggestion that radios of the 1930s and 1940s were unreliable. Hmmm. Interesting. Can't be all that unreliable when half of them still work 60 years later. I've killed more transistor radios just by accidently touching them with a bit of static in my finger.

This site sells diagrams for both U.S. and European radios. It lists Ultra Electric as one of their options.
