Just received a Philips radio (Bi-ampli) with turntable in wood case about 3 ft by 4 ft wide and 3 deep. It has tubes internally but that is all the information that I have. How do i find out the model number (no numbers on outside anywhere) Thanks

If you know electrically, how it is wired under the chassis, and you know the tube layout, you can search similar diagrams until a matching one is found. This takes a while, but I have done it several times when I have nothing else to do, and have come up with a model number each time.

Mauricio,
If you can provide the number/type of tubes, I believe we can arrive at the model designations with the "F" or "H" categories for the bi-ampl chasses. . .they essentially began in 1955 with a fabulous model BX998A bi-ampl. The bass and treble frequencies were amplified seaparately, typicall using an EL84 for the treble and bass fgrequencies through a series-balanced stage using 2 PL81s or similar tubes.

I believe they did [produce a model FX995A which designates a "floor" model using the same VERY elegant chassis.

Respectfully,
Robert
