I just bought a 1950 rca bakelite table radio at a yard sale.
it worked fine, dial lit up, but the tuner pointer would not move all the way. After examining it, I turned it too hard, & broke the cord!! After hours, I still can't figure out how to "restring it so there';s tension in each direction when the dial is turned. HELP! Does anyone know how to re string this?

Post a model number and/or a cord system layout--such as: horizontal dial above radio, horizontal pulley at left, vertical pulley at center, vertical and horizontal pulley at right, condenser wheel at right of radio, below dial, shaft at bottom front of dial either center or right of center. Something like this will help much.
