Unknown Universal Output Transformer
9/20/2004 7:14:04 AMBill
I have a universal output transformer (model 128 or 129) and I can barely make out the words "copper wire products" or a similar combination (the paper is badly deteriorated).

Anyone have an idea on who made this, and have any technical data?

Without data, is it a matter of testing various combinations for peak performance?

Hi Bill

It shouldn't be too hard to figure out. Primary will have three wires, blue, red and brown. Blue & brown are for plates of output tubes. Red is B+.

Your secondary will have many taps. Select the ones that sound best with your speaker.
