I recommend that everyone take a look an issue in either Monday's or Tuesday's USA Today. There is an issue about how hackers can turn your computer against you and can use your computer to do very bad things. An example is where a hacker or malicious company puts a "back door trojan horse" in your computer which is capable of issuing thousands of spam messages, spyware, and viruses to others in minutes, via your computer, making you seem at fault when you are really not. These companies do this without you knowing it, and the damage is hard to trace.
I recommend reading the article, because it will go into detail as to the seriousness of this issue. Millions of computers are issuing spam and viruses without knowing it. The criminals who install these things into people's computers may not even be in this country. The article also goes into detail as to what measures to take to protect your computer, and in the case of Nostalgia Air, your web site. These hackers can actually take over a web site and shut it down by trying to access all the files within the site, or make a phony replica (such as in the case of a bank web site), to deter patrons of the site into giving their personal information to criminals. All sorts of things are being done which are astonishing.
Anyway, read the article.

Nostalgia Air has had two recent outages. The first outage was caused by hard drives failing (thank you Maxtor for 2 out of 3 200Gig hard drives failing withing 4 months of installation). The second outage was the result of Hurricane Frances. Neither instance was caused by hackers. Rest assured while no site is hack-proof, appropriate steps; within reason, are taken to protect Nostalgia Air and it's viewers.
