Cleaning Lettering on Radiola III
11/17/1999 8:45:13 PMCarl Nord WA1KPD
I just got a pretty nice looking Radiola III, but the lettering is dirty. Is there a good way to clean it ? Should I use just soap and water or can I use something stronger (windex ?) Thought I had better ask the pros before I do something that might damage it.
Thanks for the help.

The lettering on the Radiola III is engraved into the bakelite panel. If it's very bad I would clean it out with a tooth brush and cleaner. Since the panel is bakelite household cleaners will not cause damage. After cleaning use white Lacquer Stick to fill in the markings. Lacquer Stick is available at Hardware Stores and Antique Electronic Supply.
