Not sure which cap you are mentioning? If it's C18, .02 mfd, this cap connects to the blue wire on pin #3 of your 50L6GT. Only this cap connects to pin #3. No large value caps connect to this wire.

:I'm not quite sure where the Cap is connected to, schematic says that it goes to T4 Af output xformer. Would that be the Red or the blue wire and where would that connect at exactly. Or would it connect to the oscillator tube where T4 connects too. Not to sure about this. Rick

The other end of C18 goes to ground. Do you have a schematic? It's available here:

:Yes its C18, Ok I got that done but where does the other end of the C18 cap connect to? Does it go to the volume control? Rick

That 7 pin socket is either for 50B5 or 50C5 tube. Philco did things like they. They used whatever tube was available.
An easy way to determine which tube to use is looking at the speaker connection. A 50B5 has the speaker transformer connected to pin #5. A 50C5 uses pin #7 as speaker output.

:Thanks Norm
:Another question that i have is on this other 46-420 at least i think its a 46-420, on the radio everything looks Identical but there is a 7prong minuture socket in place of the the 50L6. Looks like someone rewired it. What kind of a tube do you think would possibly replace the 50L6? Thanks, Rick...
