Does anyone know where the model number is on this radio. It has 8 tubes plus the magic eye. All I find is the serial number on the metal tag plus another number in the top right corner of the metal tag.

Hi Pete

If you can't find a model number listing tube types may help identify your radio. Just having an eye tube might mean it's a late 1930's model?

the tubes in the radio are as follows
K18BG There are 3 of them
25Z5
43
75
6D6
one tube with numbers wiped off
Eye tube 6G5
I am hoping to get a schematics and parts list for this radio. If you or anybody else has an idea what model this radio is it will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Hi Pete

See if Freed 30D matches?

Your ballast tube K18B is listed as being used in only Freed Model 30D. This might have made it easy?

I am very interested in older radio equipment. It seems that it is a dying breed. I gained most of my technology experience in the air force back in the Korean War. I was stationed out in Washington. Just continued to this day! :I just bought a Model 90 in great condition.
