Zenith 10S464 replacement dial lamp
6/15/2004 6:34:59 AMDan
I'm pretending I know how to fix up a Zenith 10S464 that doesn't need much of my help. I do need to replace one of the two dial lamps. The existing one says GE MAZDA 44 6-8 V on it. Obviously, I have no idea where to find a replacement.

Anybody have any suggestions? If so, would you mind emailing them to me at unklscrufy@chartermi.net even if you reply here?

Thanks in advance.

Sorry for blank response but you can find replacements for Mazda bulbs at local Radio Shack.

You can also use types 47 and 1847. They are more common than type 44. The only important difference is the filament current -- 250 ma for type 44, 150 ma for types 47 and 1847. But since the 10S464 isn't an AC/DC set, the lower heater current doesn't matter.

That's a common lamp Type #44 and RadioShack will have it. Alternately, it can be purchased at any electronics dealer as a Type #44.
