Hello, I have recapped the radio and replaced a if transformer and as I was putting it together, it seemed to have fluctuating volume like someone was playing with the volume knob. the only caps I havnt replace is the wafer multi cap and the ones in the other original if transformer

Maybe one of the tubes has grid leakage?
If your like me you do much trial and error.
Suggest that you replace each tube one at a time to see if problem is eliminated. This has worked for me a few times.
