A cabinet marked Orpheus St. Paul MN on the brass logo plate. Floor standing, roughtly 3 feet tall, richly carved with rosettes on side panels, entire front opens. No innards but lovely cabinet.
Roth Downs was incorperated in St Paul, MN. in 1926 or 27. It moved three tines, always staying in St Paul. The last listing in the City Directory was 1930 I have a floor model Orpheus with a wood speaker.
I would like a photo if you can send
: I have an Orpheus cabinet, w/o chassis. shape of a cathedral, with finials on both sides, a peephole dial, chassis sat on a ledge behind cathedral facade and was open to the world. Underneath the ledge is the speaker area. !!! this radio is a console, however the short feet are missing. Does this match anything you all are discussing? REGARDS. Hoss
