Possible "farm" radio
4/9/2004 5:38:51 PMTom Dailey WAEAJ
I have a very small RCA built under Hazeltine patent. Tube compliment is 38, 76, 6C6 & 6D6, with a horseshoe & pin speaker. (the 6D6 is shielded) It appears to have what's left of a resistor cord plus 2 other conductors. I know that some of the old 32vdc farm radios got conversions later, but I cannot identify this critter. Serial No. tag (metal) reads CX-207118

Anybody got any idea on this one? What schematic might be similar?

Tks es 73 - Tom

Hi Tom

You might have an early AC/DC radio. Filaments will be wired in series along with a line cord resistor. Sometimes a 76 (triode) was wired as rectifier (diode)?
