PHILCO 48-230 "wedgie"

I am working on a Philco 48-230. After entering the radio I find that someone had started work and left the three filter condenser wires off. There is a blue, red, and green. The black is connected. The blue, red, and green are connected only to the filter condenser. I have Sams Photofacts for the 1949 model. It is difficult to pinpoint the exact prongs for each of the colors: red (50MFD), blue (30MFD), and green (20MFD).
Can someone help me with this. I will print out the schematics form Nostalgia Air to help as well.
Thanks,
Buddy

Hi Buddy

The capacitor may have been replaced with the original being left mounted. Do you see any capacitors with similar ratings that look added?

This capacitor is used as a power supply filter. If your radio has a 35W4 the red wire would have most likely gone to pin #7. If 35Z5GT, pin #8. Blue most likely connect to pin #6 on a 50B5 or 50C5. Pin #4 on a 50L6GT.

Buddy,
If that model has a 35Z5GT it may be that all three filter condenser wires are soldered to that individual tube. I am looking at Sams photofact for the Philco 49-503. It is the same radio with slight changes. The schematic on the last page of Sams photofact shows that
all three capacitors are soldered to pins that originate on the 35Z5 socket. The red wire (higher MFD) is soldered to pin 8. The blue wire is soldered to the pin junction where 220 resistor and 1200 resistor meet. And the green wire solders to the pin
where the other end of the 1200 resistor is soldered.
