The capacitor may have been replaced with the original being left mounted. Do you see any capacitors with similar ratings that look added?
This capacitor is used as a power supply filter. If your radio has a 35W4 the red wire would have most likely gone to pin #7. If 35Z5GT, pin #8. Blue most likely connect to pin #6 on a 50B5 or 50C5. Pin #4 on a 50L6GT.

:I am working on a Philco 48-230. After entering the radio I find that someone had started work and left the three filter condenser wires off. There is a blue, red, and green. The black is connected. The blue, red, and green are connected only to the filter condenser. I have Sams Photofacts for the 1949 model. It is difficult to pinpoint the exact prongs for each of the colors: red (50MFD), blue (30MFD), and green (20MFD).
:Can someone help me with this. I will print out the schematics form Nostalgia Air to help as well.
