Looking for Zenith chassis 7M07 schematic
2/2/2004 3:27:41 PMJeff Strieble
Greetings.

I am looking for a schematic and any other available information (manual, etc.) for a Zenith model K-731 AM/FM receiver, chassis 7M07. Ebay auction score last year. It works, very well I might add, but would like to have the schematic just in case. Just did a search on NA, with no results. This radio is 1963 vintage. Is it too new to be listed in Nostalgia Air's archives even as a classic or vintage unit?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Jeff

Zenith 7M07 is in Sam's Photofact #778-10. You should be able to get this through your local library. Sam's sells the information by calling 800-428-7267.

Hi Jeff,
John F. Rider's "Perpetual Troubleshooters Manuals", which are the source of the NostalgiaAir archives, did not cover radios past 1954. Obviously your Zenith is too new for that. The best source of service data are "Sams Photofacts", originally published by the Howard W. Sams Co. Your Zenith model K-731 was covered in Photofact #653-12 (c. 1963). These are still available at many public libraries. Or you can contact Sams Technical Publishing at 800-428-7267 or one of the several online sellers of used Sams Photofacts.

Jeff,
It appears that Norm and I have given you conflicting information. But in checking the Sams index, we are both correct. Using the model "K-731" turns up Photofact #653-12 (1963). Using "7M07" gives Photofact #778-10 (1965). You may need to double-check with Sams to make sure which applies to your Zenith.

Jeff, maybe you hit the keyboard wrong? Chassis 7K07 is SAMS 653-12.
Bill
