I have an Admiral Super 125 stereo. Its model number is S125 MAD. It is a dark wood cabinet with a turntable that raises when the lid is opened. The unit is 75" long and 28" deep. I would like to know what year it was produced, I can't find a date on it anywhere. It is in perfect condition and I'd like to know a value for it. Thank you.

Hi Kodiakbay,
Your Admiral should be covered in SAMS Photofacts, but I can't find a reference to that model # in the SAMS index. Maybe you can find a chassis number, either on the cabinet label or stamped on the chassis itself? Other possible sources of dating are RMA code numbers on components, such as transformers, electrolytic can capacitors, speakers, potentiometers, etc. If it is tubed, any original tubes that were labeled for Admiral may also have a date.

I recently acquired an Admiral S125 with the same description. Were you able to find the production date or value? Thank you for any insight.
