Hi,
I am having much trouble with this restoration. New capacitors and tubes have been installed. The radio receives nothing. I double checked every thing I repalced. Again, no audio. I checked audio and volume control. I get a buzz sound that can be controlled by the volume control. So, those two areas are fine.
I am consudering that maybe the tube line up is incorrect. I have the schematics but I am not sure if I am reading it correctly.
Could someone inform of the tube line-up using chassis land marks.
For example, which two tubes are on the end? Which of the six tubes is by itself, not in a row?
Any other suggestions I appreciate.
Thank you,

Hi Buddy

The schematic and chassis layout can be found here:

The chassis layout shows where tubes belong.

Check your radio oscillator by tuning a second radio to IF frequency above the one under test. If your GE is tuned to 1000 you should hear a tone in the second radto around 1450-60.
