hello, the crosley victory model i just purchased works, but after a few mins the transformer overheats and starts to boil inside. all resistances are good. i disconnected all wires and tried it again and it still overheats. im thinking about having it rewound, where can i find the voltage specs for trnasformer thank you for info

Hi Manual

Before you rewind the transformer pull the rectifier tube and try again. If the transformer gets hot with rectifier removed it does need to be replaced.

Replace filters and any other leaky caps before replacing the transformer. Leaky caps cause excessive current to be drawn damaging transformers.

Here is a list of available power transformers. If you can find one to use from the list it will be a lot less expensive than rewinding.
