HI MY NAME IS BARBARA AND I OWN A RCA VICTOR NEW VISTA SOLID STATE STEREO. BUT I DON'T KNOW WHAT YEAR IT WAS MADE IN. CAN SOMEONE MAYBE TELL ME OF A WEBSITE WHERE I CAN FIGURE WHAT YEAR IT IS FROM, PLEASE?? THANKS

Barbara: The "new vista" trade name emerged about l962 when RCA began to use nuvistors (small tubes) as RF amplifiers in their products. As a former RCA dealer of the 60's I believe your stereo be somewhere in the '63-66 year range since the earier 60's still had tubes in them. There will be a model number that reads RC ----- which can be looked up in a Sams Photofact index which will tell you the exact year.
