grunow teledial

Hi..

I just bought a grunow teledial with the international/amatuer police bands. also looks like preset radio station buttons with the call letters on them. i basically bought it as a conversation piece for my music room as i am involved in community radio in tampa florida. is there a website that has photos of the various grunow models? I noticed a date in pencil on the metal chassis of 8-23-36 and thought it might be a repair date notation as i have seen in some other radio/audio pieces. after seeing the history of the company...i'm not sure now what this date may reference...any ideas?

Thanks...Dennis

Hello Dennis,
I have noticed on a few of my radios dates that are penciled on them. I speculate that they are either purchase dates or repair dates (repair dates such as those found on some of my older clocks) Is there a model number to be found? If so, that will help determine what your date means.
