Hi, what sould I replace the 2 x non polarised 1uF caps in the power supply with? It has an 80 rectifier..Should I go electolytic (is so what value?) or should I try to find the 1uFs? Thanx Brian
The Radio is a "His Masters Voice" 28-V it has a brass plate with the dog but is before RCA Victor...

Hi

I would use 10 mfd @ 450 volt electrolytic caps unless you want to keep it original. (4.7 mfd @ 450 volts is also available.) A higher value cap reduces hum but B+ voltage will be a little higher.

1 mfd caps are available for less than $2.00 but that is still more than electrolytics. AES & others sell both types.
