Paint Removal

Hi all. I realise this has probably been ask before but I picked up a old GE radio sorta looks like a treasure chest.The price was cheap and the reason is there has been paint spilled on the top which ran over the sides.I need to no how to remove it with out damaging the wood case.Once removed I should have a pretty nice radio.Thank You in advance
