Best way to slow down the motor on a space echo? I have a space echo (Tape Delay) and want to slow the delay time down quite a bit any takers? I hope this doesn't stress the motor any? Brian

Hi Brian

What type of motor? If it's a brush motor how about like what's used on power drills? Triac or SCR control will work. They oprerate by controlling on time. A light dimmer might even work.

For synchronus motors you need to control the AC frequency.

How about changing the roller ratio instead of motor speed? That's how Japanese tape recorders changed between 50 & 60 cycles back in the 60's. They may still do it this way?
