Newbie needs help.
The tube lineup is: 12SK, 12SA7, 12SF7, 12SJ7, 35L6, 35Z5. Replaced 35Z5.

Volume is barely audible. Any help is appreciated very much.

You have been working on this one. Are voltages rasonable? Pin #3 and #4 on your 35L6 should be around 100 volts. Pin #5 around 5 volts negative when measured from pin #8.

Do you hear loud hum touching the center terminal on your volume control?

Your 1st audio tube must be 12SJ7. Are pins 6 & 8 positive? Pin #8 more positive than pin 6?
