Removing Nicotine

I have a neat Philco 37-610 wooden radio. It has a nice multiband dial but much of it is heavily yellowed from residual nicotine..I would like to remove the nicotine but am afraid the dial markings will come off too..anyone know how to get the nicotine off without removing the dial markings? Thanks

Hi,
assuming the plastic inner dial- Test a little bit of rubbing alcohol on a soft rage on the part number on the edge dial- that should be out of sight. I do not believe there will be a problem with a little bit of the rubbing alcohol, but best to check first, but do not get hopes too high, as that dial plastic is a little bit porous, and you might not get too much of the old staining out.

If it is the metal bezel portion, rubbing alcohol on a rag should clean that up with ease.
