Can anyone tell me about a Delmonico (telefunken) stereo manufactured by Korting Radio Werke, model#1251,ac, 70 watts. How old do you think it is and is it worth anything.

Probably late fifties to early sixties for vintage.

There are collectors out there, and some of the modernist era stereos/ consoles are gaining interest, but condition is a big factor.

The market is vast as to what pricing is and region where you are. The fact it is a european manufacture will add to potential value.

This does not nail down a value, but if unit is spotless, it should bring more than just a mere garage sale price.

THere are a number of online venues other than the usual Ebay, but you could try the
"Online Radio Trader": http://members.aol.com/OLRTmag/main.htm#TOC
QTH list, I am not sure of their current url, but entering QTH into any search engine should produce them.
Phil's unclassified ads too, a lot people list there also list on OLRT, but you never know, I myself browse Phil's list more oftenthan I do OLRT. http://antiqueradio.org/ads.htm

There is likely a radio collector club in your state, and they sometimes have websites, otherwise contact them direct and ask if you can place an ad. Appraising it for a value is tough, but a serious collector will pay more than a resller/vendor, and a collector will likely give you an honest appraisal of value at the time they make an offer/couter offer.

As a ballpark estimating guide, check ebay's auctions that have ended (for final sale prices), so you at least have some starting point. Right now is the slow season for radio equipment on Ebay, so prices will be lower than they usually are, and the real economy is not helping things at the moment.
