Hi,
Is it a squared flat top?
Is it a rounded top?
Is the evaporating coil on top of the fridge- Like the ralph Kramden in "The Honeymooners"?

If it is like the latter two, is the compressor run from an external motor, or is the compressor one sealed coccoon? Either style should have a tag on or near the compressor with some age information. It may also be on the schematic as a publication date orinspection date.

If it is like the first one, there should be a production tag somewhere on the door, or inside the cabinet- possibly at the back, near the thermostat, or some conspicuous place- It should have production data with a production date. Otherwise look for a metal tag on or near the compressor- it should have that information too.

:Hi John,
the frigde has a rounded top, and there is nothing on the top of the fridge. there was a paper tag on the back attached to the plug in cord, but it's all torn up. I'll look where you suggested and see if I can find
the date, thanks for the input! :)
