So called "Universal Remotes" will work with most TVs, you are required to enter a code that corresponds with the type of signal that is sent from the remote to the TV. Usually these codes are listed on a page in the instruction sheet for the remote. Sometimes the remote manufacturer does not know all the codes for a certain brand of TV, and you will need to use the method of trying all the code patterns until you find one that works. Be advised that there are some instances when a universal remote just will not be compatible with a certain TV. In that situation you take the remote back for a refund, and contact the TV manufacturer.
