Philco 48-1262
7/7/2003 9:35:15 PMDennis Burton
I have been looking for a dial scale for a Philco model 48-1262 code 122. I have the schematic and parts list for it and the part # is 27-5969. Does anyone know if any of the reproduction dial scale produced at Radiodaze will fit this radio. They list this model but it is not in production. Also if anyone has an owners manual for the radio or the Phono I would be interested .
Thanks,
Dennis Burton

Hi Dennis,
The Philco part number 27-5969 is correct for your radio. I have original Philco service bulletins for almost all the 1948 models, and I searched through the parts lists but unfortunately no other models that year used the same dial scale as your 48-1262. (NOTE: I am missing the service bulletins for models 48-1282 and 48-1283, so not sure about those.) However, in the alignment instructions in the Philco service bulletin for your model 48-1262 there is an almost full-scale black-and-white photo of the dial scale. If you don't have the original this would at least show you what it looked like. If you need a copy of this photo send me an email and I will mail it to you.

Hello Poston,
I'm sorry i've taken so long to respond but I'm new on this sight and don't know how to navigate real well.
I have the Service bulliten on the 48-1262 which includes the picture of the dial scale . i have also gotten my hands on the service bullitens/ schematics for the 1282 and the 1283 and both of those scales are different. I'm still searching ,keep in touch.
I goofed on the followup previous to this one .
Dennis
