Hi Elliott

Atwater Kent Model 30 can use 01A tubes. Output stage can be 71A or also 01A. These tubes in globe shape can be found as UX201A, CX301A or other similar numbers. AES, tubesandmore.com and Play Things Of Past, oldradioparts.com along with others sell tubes. They can also be found on eBay.

The radio used a 6 volt storage battery (car battery) and 90 volt "B" battery, tapped at 22 1/2 along with 4 1/2 volt "C" battery.

Best to buy or make a power supply for this radio. Batteries would be too expensive. Using #30 tubes are also less expensive that 01A's. If you want to use #30's reduce filament to 2 volts.

Hi,
A few Model 30's were also sold as "2 Volt" radios, and the only difference was just the tag on the wire bundle (I have one). So you are not altering it in any way for the sake of authenticity by using 30's.
