High-Fidelity tuner AM, FM, MPX
6/14/2003 3:32:04 PMJ-F
Hi,

I have a very clean, look new tube tuner. Play great, taken on a garage sale. But there is no name, no brand and no model number. On face place, on left top of dial, I can read "High Fidelity". On bottom of face plate, on the right, there is a very little "TM-77". Two button: "tuning" and "Off, FM, FM AFC, AM". On the back, a red antenna, an AC outlet, "output" and "fm mpx" rca plugs and screws for GND and FM. Tubes are: 6AQ8*2, 6BA6*2, 6AU6*1 and 6BE6*1.

Someone know what is the brand of this tuner? Is it "High Fidelity"? Can I have somes infos and maybe a schematic?

Thanks a lot!
Jean-Francois

Hi Jean-Francois,
In checking the SAMS Photofact index, I found a Lloyds model TM77 which is covered in Photofact #742-7 (from 1965). I have no other information, but this might be worth checking out.
You might also contact Dave Cantelon at www.justradios.com Give him all the information you have mentioned here about your tuner, and he may be able to help you locate a schematic. You might suggest to him that he check SAMS Photofact 742-7. He could verify whether this covers your tuner, and if so could sell you a copy at a reasonable price.
