Through a forwarding network of emails I received an update from Alan
Here is what he said
"The drive in the server has been failing, and it keeps generating read
errors. A few days ago it corrupted the web server application files
themselves, so the server it's able to run. I've got a replacement drive and
am muddling through the maze of files that have to be installed and
configured to get it back on line. With luck it'll happen in a day or two."

Not a gripe, just an informed observation. Too bad it isn't anything at like pulling a bad tube, it would be more akin to making the equipment to make the replacement tube, and then making the tube itself, and then plugging it back in- Oh, and then making the radio around that tube after you plugged it back in.
All Alan would need now to make life exciting is to install the "Blue Death" screen saver onto the computer that Dick is working with. ::I can't seem to get into the Antique Radio Forum at antiqueradios.com/forum. Anyone else having problems?

Does anyone know how Allen is doing now? Sure do miss that place. How can we help him out?
Until it came back up , I thought he had stopped the site. He does have his problems.
It would be a great loss

:I check it every day. Part of the site was working a few days ago, but now I can't connect to the server. Let's hope Alan can get it online again.

Have sent Alan's address by email. Didn't want to post it here. He may get swamped with mail. Problems are technical according to email received from Alan. His email is Alan@antiqueradios.com . Don't think he minds that as it's posted on antiqueradios.
Richard & Alan have done good jobs with these sites. Richard mentioned it actually costs him a fraction of a cent every time someone accesses a schematic. This amounts to money with the number of people using the site. That's the reason for limiting the number which can be downloaded.

:This would be more than a great loss!! I feel if everyone sent in something-anything-to both of these sites they would be online forever. The education that we get from them is priceless and the friends we meet is also. Does anyone have Allens address? The address of this site is just a few clicks from you now. Please do your part.
