Price guide recommendation
5/22/2003 3:06:03 PMBill Pendergraft
I was wondering if someone could help me select a price
guide for vintage radios. I'm interested in collecting
the bakelite models from the mid'40's up. Thanks for
any help provided.

Bill, there are many books on antique radios, some of which give pricing information. Problem as I see it is that the same radio will have different prices in different books. Prices are very subjective, and different authors approach the value in different ways. Best thing to do is go to your local bookstore, examine the books that are available on radios/prices, decide which book best fits your needs. The most popular books appear to be "The Radio Collectors Directory" by Robert Grinder and "Machine Age To Jet Age" (3 Volumes) by Mark Stein.
