Does the eye tube show movement when you tune? Pin #5 on your 6A8 should be a few volts negative when the oscillator is operating. Without the osc. you won't be able to tune stations.

:hello, im working on a zenith 10s464 that is not receiving any stations all im getting is static. i replaced all caps the 6x5 tubes (they were shorted causing transformer to overheat) i swapped all other tubes with known good ones B voltages are good and the plates on tunning cap are not shorted does nayone out there have any ideas? thank you
Do you hear a loud hum touching top cap of the 6Q7G tube? If so audio section is ok
Measure voltage on pins 3 and 4 of 6K7. This is your IF amplifier. Both pins should be positive.
Measure voltage on pins #3, 4 and 6 on 6A8. This is the osc/mixer. These should be positive. Pin #5 should be around minus 5 volts.
Measure voltage on pins #2 and #3 on 1232/7G7 tube. These should be positive on your RF amplifier.
Voltage is called out in 1940 Beitmans which is available.
Be sure you have proper "G" tubes. If they were changed to metal tubes pin #1 must be grounded. Zenith didn't use tube sockets with a connection for pin #1 in some of their radios.

:::hello, after checking voltages i came to find out that at tube 6a8 im only reading 56volts on the grid terminal

::: hello the tunning eye stays at about 75% shut and does not show movement im going to check voltages. the only caps i havent replaced have been the mica type
