RCA Radiola AR-812
2/21/1998 2:37:04 AMTony Miller
I have a RCA Radiola AR-812 - 1924 vintage 6 tube superhet, which I have been unable
to find a circuit for anywhere. The chasis is fully sealed, and I am reluctant to
pull it apart without some idea of what problems I may encounter, or damage I may
cause.
There is a photo of the set on P28 Vol. 3 of Radio Manufactures of the 1920's
by Alan Douglas.
Hope someone out there can help with a circuit or advice.
Thanks,
Tony Miller (Melbourne, Australia)

I own a Model AR810 and was able to find a circuit diagram. I
also have a problem inside the sealed can. Someone once told me
these cans were filled with bees wax. Have you been able to get
your radio to work?

I tried at one stage to get the set to work, but did not get very far. I suspect that it may have an open interstage transformer. I have managed to obtain a circuit for a similar set, but as I still haven't opened the sealed box I can't confirm if the circuit matches. Can you scan the circuit you have and send it to me? Regards, Tony Miller. ( Replace the '_at_' with an '@' in my address)
