Philco 39-31 Pushbuttons
4/29/2003 9:22:32 PMRoland Phillips
I have a Philco 39-31, a 39-30, and a 39-25. All have no pushbuttons, a common problem. The ones that Antique Electronic Supply (the long ones, 1-1/4 inch) are about a half inch too short for any of the radios. I emailed them and they replied that I should lengthen them somehow, which would be almost impossible. They are the correct color and shape, just too short. Does anyone out there know of another source?

Hi Roland,
You might try Larry Bordonaro at: www.antiqueradioknobs.com
Larry makes quality reproductions of radio knobs & pushbuttons. Normally he needs a sample to work from, which is impossible in your case. However, for popular radios such as your Philcos, it is possible that he might have already created a mold for a previous order and will have it on file. In any case, it is worth a try.
