I picked up this radio this past weekend at a flea market, very complete w/ owners manual,schematic, transformer w/ instruction sheet and the purple brochure that must of been tied to the radio someplace.
The set looks and plays just fine with one exception: the dial lamp. Where is it? What is the best way to replace it?

Do note that the dial lamp only works with batteries in the battery pack. One of the cells of the battery pack supplies voltage for the lamp.
If its in fact burnt out, it is inside the rotating dial drum.
