Uniden Bearcat Scanner

Hi,

I have a Uniden Bearcat scanner, Model # 210XLT. I would like to know where I can obtain a manual, or some type of on-line instructions on how to program it.

Thanks so much.

You might try here ... http://www.repairfaq.org/REPAIR/F_BC_Repair.html ...
seems to have a lot of info on bearcat scanners in general ... the Uniden site does have a customer support section but they do not support the bc210 for some reason.

Another thought ... if you go to the Radio Shack I'net site they have a customer support area , find scanners and then browse thru the scanners until you find one that looks like the BC210 .. seems that most of the early RS scanners were Uniden's with different name plates. Otherwise an I'net search for "Bearcat Scanner" brought back a bunch of hits.

Hi,
Try here:
http://209.145.176.7/~090/awh/bearcatting.html

From the looks of things, it should program the same as the Bearcat 210, and the Uniden Bearcat 210XW.
There are some differences, largely the number of stations stored in memory, scan rate, and the addition of a "Priority".
Yours has the following particulars:
40 stations in 2 banks of 20,
1 channel is able to be assigned priority (yours "may" be capable of 1 for each bank)
Covers frequency range(s)
29-54 Mhz
118-174 Mhz
406-512 Mhz.

If you enter a frequency other than those the radio is designed to recieve, you get an error message.
