stromberg-carlson speaker coil rewind

i need to rewind a speaker field coil due to old one having corrosion spots on it and was open in several spots. the ohms on is 1500ohms. do i wind it until i get those ohms or do i also have to keep the amount of turns in mind. thank you for any info

Hi Manuel

Turns gives magnetic field but the circuit should have around 1500 ohm resistance. Neither are critical. If you use about the same gauge and amount of wire it will turn out ok. Don't count turns.
