You did not state if the unidentified tube had an octal base, or was 7 pin miniature, or a 9 pin novar base. If octal, chances are that it might be a 12SA7, 12SJ7, 12SQ7 (most likely), 12SK7, to name a few.
Also, are there any germanium diodes present? If so, that changes a few of the likely candidates of tube.
The tube that is present- Have you tried fogging the glass? (breathing on it, or placing it in the freezer for a few minutes is usually enough) then looking for the number with a light source at a low angle to the glass. Some were numbered at the top of the envelope instead of the side.
:I have a Kent midget metal radio, it has 3 tubes, 1 50l6,1 35z5, and one other tube that has no markings, the sticker on it for modle and tube locations is gone, does any one know what model it could be? or have a schematic for it?
:Hi,
:Sams does not list a tube radio for Kent. Chances are strong you will have to trace out the socket connections, as there are a number of possible choices.
