Can anyone tell me the values of the caps inside the big box in the power supply section of this radio? All the documentation I have gives a part number for the unit as a whole, but no values for the individual caps. It's part # 2707-c. And do they have to be electrolytics? I seem to remember reading somewhere that they didn't have such an animal back then. This is the earliest A.C. set I've had my hands into, so I want to tread lightly. By the way, what a beauty! Not only is it a good specimen, but it sure seems well built. Thanks in advance.

Hi Jim

In no one comes up with actual values use 10 mfd @ 450 volts electrolytic for the 4 filter caps. Originals would have been lower values and not electrolytic. Use .01 mfd @ 600 volts for two caps on the AC line.

Jim, I believe they are all 2 MFD caps, and as Norm indicated non-electrolytic. What Norm suggested will also work with no problems.
