This may not work adequately if you are using cable, or a dish- (if you only get one signal out, that dictates everything you watch or record)- In this case you have to run the signal coax cable to the VCR, and get an antenna/cable switcher so you can use the TV seperate (disconnect from) from the cable/satellite box- Using the TV antenna; connecting the antenna to the TV set directly effectively at the turn of knob.
If that will not work for you, you will need two cable/satellite boxes so the TV set can get a signal different from that going tot he VCR.
If you are using one cable connection, and can only change channels through the cable box- you will not be able to do what you want.
Once this part of the dilema is resolved, you should be able to program the VCR so everything works as it should.
:CAN ANYONE PLEASEEEEE HELP ME FIQURE OUT HOW TO USE THIS THING? I only want to record now, record one channel and watch another, and record timed shows. THIS G.D. manual is useless!!!!
:Thanks!!!
