HV power supply troubles
3/26/2003 1:05:10 AMUwe
I have a vintage Universal Electronic high voltage power supply (for tube
applications), Model 425A, which needs to be rebuild/looked over.

Would anybody have a lead where to find circuit info or an old manual??

TIA Uwe

Hi,
Try:
http://www.w7fg.com/manuals.php
or
http://www.agtannenbaum.com/

If all else fails, replace filter caps and paper caps with new caps of the same working voltage or slightly higer, and check to see if resistors are within 20% of original value, and check the rectifier if it is a tube, replace rectifier if it is selenium. If it has a voltage meter monitoring output voltage, calibrate that after all repairs are complete.
