I'm restoring a Halolight now. Don't know that I can help much, but we could compare notes. As for a repair, I know a retired tv serice guy in SanDiego who will gladly take on vintage repair work. My own problem is finding sparkly grill cloth to match....I'm struggling to find ways to salvage the original. As for date, I know that Sylvania made a lot of halolight models beginnng in the early 50's and ending I think by mid-decade. Carlsbad, CA
