Your radio uses push-pull 6F6's for output. The proper output transformer would be 10,000 ohm impedance plate to plate with a center tap. Secondary can be 8 ohm impedance. These numbers are transformer ratings not resistance read on an ohm meter.
You can buy transformers & tubes at Play Things Of Past, www.oldradioparts.com or Antique Electronic Supply, www.tubesandmore.com .

Found a picture of 509A on the internet. Hope it shows enough detail?

:Forgive me intruding here, but I'm located in the UK and trying to get some information about the originality of knobs on a Wards Airline radio model 93BR-509A. Is there anyone out there who can help, if I send a picture?
