Resistor Wattage

I found a bad resistor in a Philco 84 I'm restoring. The schematics say it is 240K ohms, but doesn't say if its a 1/4 or 1/2 watt resistor. Is there any harm if I replace it with a 240K 1/2 watt resistor, if in fact the original was a 1/4 watt resistor? Your help is definitely appreciated!

Go for the 1/2 W sizing as thats definitely the most likely rated value ...vice the 1/4 w and since its up in the 100's of k's resistance range, there's no chance of it being of a fusible resistive function also, as they're typically down in the low ohmic ranges.

Thanks. I'm warming up the soldering iron right now...
