Thanks,
Sam
The RCA 29K schematic that I found is an AC operated radio. It just plugs in and doesn't need a separate power supply.

:I'm looking for a power supply for an RCA model 29k. I have looked in Antique Electronic Supply cat. but am not quite sure of what to buy. Does anyone have a part no. or a pwr supply for sell.

If yours has a OZ4 tube, it has the electrifier. It is listed in in Riders, but not always clearly.
I have a similar model, not sure of which one it is at the moment.

You can find a large list of transformers here:
http://www.oldradioparts.com/2a23efl.txt
You already know about AES. You need a transformer that fits on your radio chassis. There are usually 3 secondary windings. A 5Y3 requires 5 volts @ 2 amps for filament. Other tubes require 6.3 volts. Current for most radios will be around 2 amps. Your radio has more tubes and should have a 3 amp winding.
Also need a high voltage winding. Sometimes voltage is indicated on a schematic. If not 275-300 each side of center tap will be ok. Your radio draws nearly 80 ma. Use a 90 ma rated transformer.

:Norm,
:Thanks for the reply. I guess I have my terminology wrong. Yes it is AC but I need the transformer that feeds the rect tube 5Y3G. Can you help.

Just a quick change. That last line should say, Use a transformer with 90 ma rated high voltage winding.
