Need dial cord info

Could someone send me the dial cord replacement info on " DELCO MODEL 1110" Unit made by United Motors. Schematic date on radio is. 10- 10- 1935. Its a ten tube receiver (Console) thanks, Rodney

You'll have to buy some new dial cord and cut your own.Antique radio supply has 25 ft lengths for about $3.Just tie the last knot short enough that the spring has to stretch a bit.Once you've put one on about ten times you'll be a pro.A real frustrated one.The dial cord will probably have to be wrapped around the main tuning shaft at least 2 to three times for starters.Most radios are at there highest frequency when the main capacitor is completely meshed.If it's aneedle dial then there's not too much to worry about.It can be slid down after the cord has been installed.

Fly "reel backing", or braided fish line of about 25 pound test is cheaper, and works very well. You can even get it in black, white, gray or brown. Easier to locate too, and you do not have to wait for the mail.
