:Got this Montgomery Ward Guitar amp (35 JDR 8422S), Works fairly descent, The "Vibrato" feature doesn't work (needs footswitch???) Is this an Airline amp? Its 12 inch speaker has V12L-7 328314 stamped on the magnet, other then that and this on the knob plate in small lettering: "Montgomery Ward 35 JDR 8422S" is the only markings on it, it uses a pair of 6L6's and a 5Y3 rectifier tube, also has a 6SN7, 2 12SJ7's and a 6J5. Anybody hep to this oldie or where I can find anything on this amp???...Much thanx!!!
:Hi,
:Usually MW marketed the guitar amps under a name other than Airline, but you can check with sams. Not many of those got published. If the vibrato control pot is clean, replace the cap(s) in the vibrato section of the amp, chances are good one has failed.

:Hi,
:Yes, it is very possible that is the culprit. If that does not remedy the problem, look at the paper caps, as one may be shorted.
