:I have found an old RCA Radiola Model AR 784. Can anyone tell what this radio is, and maybe the schematic. I have been looking for a while at the schematic downloads, just can not seem to find one that may be close. I have seen a picture of a Radiola 33 that looks like this old radio??? Bill
::Bill, did you look at "AR" under RCA Victor? Maybe you already did but if you haven't this could be a match.

Use the schematic for Radiola 18. Radiola 17, 18 & 33 are very similar and match those tubes. The power supply is connected with a terminal strip to the right of the radio. If tube numbers don't match drop the first two letters & number. UX226 is a 26.

:I have looked at, I think, just about every schematic on this site. Just keep coming up empty. The set has 5 tubes, 3 each, UX226, 1- UX171A, and 1- UX227. The PS is mounted just beside the chassis, 50W with a UX280 rectifier tube. I wish I could come close because there is a black wire coming forum the PS that is not connected. I am thinking that it is suppose to be connected to the chassis for a return?? Sorry about the double post. Just did not understand exactly how the site posting worked.

I will look for those. I knda thoght the 33 might be the one, but I can not seem to find a schematic for that either. BTW, the PS is not connected via a terminal strip, but the wires come throught five different holes equally spaced along the bottom of the PS. The wires from the PS are hard soldered underneath the receiver chassis. Go figure???

Your AR should be close. Most of these RCA TRF radios were very similar. Could someone have removed the terminal strip? They were mounted above the chassis and connected radio to power supply. Your AR874 may be an early version, before they used a terminal strip?

I do not believe this set ever had a terminal strip. I have found no evidence that show that this old radio ever had one either. Since this is an old radio, I may have to find information on it "the old-fashioned way". I may have to go to the library. Thanks, Bill

copy and paste into your web address box at upper right of your screen and hit go.
Then use right click on schematic and select save as. This way you open it with a good image software and print program to edit to an appropriate size and DPI. like Photo Shop, etc.

:If you can't find it here or get to it. I can e-mail it to you as I have a copy. Just post your e-mail under your name in the e-mail box below the name box, and leave out your server or use INVALID as your server. Then tell me what the server name is in the text of your message. That way it is a little harder for those who use search engines to find e-mails for the purpose of sending unwanted e-mail. However, you still might get some.

:::::::::I have looked at, I think, just about every schematic on this site.

Just post your e-mail under your name in the e-mail box below the name box, and leave out your server or use INVALID as your server. Then tell me what the server name is in the text of your message.
